"Line Shack Winter" submitted for a Spur Award!

I had several short stories published in 2011 that were eligible for submission to Western Writers of America for their prestigious Spur Award, but I decided to concentrate strictly on the story I liked best. Although I've written many stories and  books set in the American West of the 1800s, Line Shack Winter is the only one about actual cowboys and their work as ranch hands. Thanks to Carolyn and Jennifer at BooksToGoNow for publishing it. It's available for download at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, and priced cheap enough to provide a lively visit in the Old West for very little money.
